Concept Leisure&Health: ‘Pluk de dag’

WHAT

'Pluk de dag' offers students with and without a disability a surprise activity. Through a questionnaire these students are matched based on their preferences and needs. With other likeminded students they have a fun filled day, based on teamspirit, personal approach and equality.

WHO

This concept is for young persons with Down syndrome and students. There a about 12.600 persons with Down syndrome. They don't often meet other people without Down syndrome. One of their basic needs is to belong and be part of the whole. They are matched with students who want to meet other people, outside of their own comfort zone and circles. They want to learn from each other.

VALUE

This concept, made by students from the second year of ILS, gave Possibilize a way to bring people into contact with eachother. Feedback during presentation: "This concept gives room to different needs of both target groups. The concept is more than just a paper idea, steps to implement this concept have already been taken by the students."
